HELP US FIND A PERMANENT HOME

DOMINION MODERN is searching for a building to house its collection of Canadian Architecture and Design.

DOMINION MODERN is searching for a building to house its collection of Canadian Architecture and Design. Currently, we are in talks with several locations within the city of Montréal to operate from. The location will serve as a platform to catalogue, digitise, store and showcase our collections of Canadian Design.

If you know of a good mid-century building in Montréal in need of restoring its architectural dignity please let us know? We can issue charitable tax-deductible receipts for donated rent or donated building! Do you know a location, let us know!

In 2011 DOMINION MODERN visited the exhibit The Modern Eye – Craft and Design in Canada, 1940-1980 curated by Allan Collier at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.

This video will give you a preview of the layout and extent of the collections, DOMINION MODERN proposes at their permanent home.

Nowhere in Canada will you find a permanent gallery that focuses on Canadian design and architecture. This is what Dominion Modern proposes to bring about.

DOMINION MODERN is unique in its focus on Canadian Design. Help us fund our dream for a permanent home.
